ABOUT KALISHA ( KUH - LEE - SHUH )
Growing up with periods of food insecurity taught me two things.
I learned how to be resourceful and creative with food, creating great meals with limited resources. I also learned that it was difficult to concentrate as a student and show up as my whole despite my best efforts, during periods of food insecurity.
In contrast, while working in the food industry during college, I saw the difference having consistent access to food made for me - I felt better, more confident, and thrived.
My mission is to help people feel empowered around food by leveraging my 20 years of experience in the food industry as a food photographer and educator, training both professionals and home cooks to hone their skills.
